Rock climbing is a great sport for having fun and spending time with friends. It is a fantastic way of staying fit and developing skills in flexibility, strength and balance whilst having a good time. The Crux Climbing Gym is the only climbing gym in Taranaki and caters for all ranges of experience and ability. No membership is required and no experience is necessary.

All inexperienced climbers are given a full induction into climbing safety and the use of equipment. Bouldering (low level without ropes over mats) is available during public sessions. For members, the climbing wall is available for bouldering at any time when there is no other booking in place between 6am and 9pm.  Women-only climbing nights also available, providing women with an opportunity to meet, chat, make friends and maybe find a regular climbing partner but also to have the platform to climb, improve and feel empowered as a group.
