Matariki is a time for us to gather and celebrate with those around us. This year, the theme ‘Matariki Kāinga Hokia’ encourages us to return home and be with our loved ones, however that may look. To assist us on our Matariki journey, Te Arawhiti has published a digital resource to celebrate and educate readers about the traditions and cultural importance of Matariki. You can also order a print version. Maybe do a hautapu ceremony at home. What a beautiful way to remember the past, feed whānau and observe this special time.
