Providing an opportunity for adults to continue with lifelong learning through workshops and courses. 

With a focus on building foundation knowledge, confidence and participation in learning, they work closely with other tertiary education providers such as Literacy Aotearoa, Massey University and UCOL. They will meet all possible requests and can design programmes for specific learning requirements. Some lovely courses with beautiful treasures to come away with, for example ‘Father and Son – Connect and Learn Thru Pounamu’. Learn how to make a whakapapa quilt. Tips on raising grandchilden and digital device training as well.

Rongoā Māori

A series of practical workshops for Rongoā Māori - Traditional Māori Medicine. Workshops are taught in the bush in a supportive and encouraging environment for both Māori and non-Māori participants. All workshops are run over a weekend and are held in the ngahere (forest). The aim is to teach people how to identify the plants used for rongoā, where to find them, and how to collect them and the tikanga (customs) that must be followed.
