Kumeu Arts

Enriching Kumeu community life, through cultural activities for the wellbeing of the community.

Kumeu Arts is a buzzing community arts centre. A not for profit incorporated society and registered charity that offers exhibitions, classes, untutored groups, events, workshops and festivals. Kumeu Arts hosts a variety of members shows as well as solo and group exhibitions. Exhibitions are always free to visit and both galleries are wheelchair accessible. The building (located behind the Kumeu Library) was once an Auckland Council works depot, but has since been transformed into a fully functioning, fit for purpose arts centre with two galleries, 3 workrooms and a gift shop selling art and crafts made by local artisans.

Kumeu Arts is also the venue for Kumeu Live, a not for profit music night hosting highly acclaimed local and internationally musicians, expect to find an intimate, relaxed atmosphere where the audience listens, rather than talks during performances. BYO drinks – glasses are supplied, and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase.
