ACCESSIBILITY

General

Due to the nature of heritage buildings, there is limited mobility access. We recommend you discuss your mobility needs with our Front of House staff before purchasing tickets. They are working on publishing a mobility accessible map that will be available here so that you can pre-plan your visit. A wheelchair and an electronic mobility scooter available for free. Booking is recommended. To book, please call 09 576 9506 and speak to our Front of House team. They recommend wearing closed shoes with grip when visiting the Village since the pathways are covered in shell and can be slippery.

Transport

There are several bus stops near the Village that offer shelter, seating, computerised timetables and touch-to-speak timetables. See AT for details.

Parking

Accessible car parks are available in the cafe and visitor car park (approx. 10 metre's walk from the museum’s entrance).
