Glass Artist

David teaches several workshops each year, an introduction to fusing and slumping glass. This is a one-day workshop that is aimed at beginners or people with basic skills. He offers 6 workshops each year with the maximum in a class of 8 students. The class is about 6 hours long and each student makes a glass tile, 2 fused brooches and 2 slumped bowls. Group bookings are available if an organisation or social group wants to have a get together. David is also available for specialist one-on-one teaching where he will negotiate with the student learning outcomes, time and fees. Please contact him for more info on his workshops.

A series of practical workshops for Rongoā Māori - Traditional Māori Medicine. Workshops are taught in the bush in a supportive and encouraging environment for both Māori and non-Māori participants. All workshops are run over a weekend and are held in the ngahere (forest). The aim is to teach people how to identify the plants used for rongoā, where to find them, and how to collect them and the tikanga (customs) that must be followed.
