Boccia New Zealand promotes and supports the sport of boccia amongst all people with a physical disability throughout New Zealand. Age is no barrier either.

Boccia is a cross between lawn bowls and petanque, and is an inclusive, non-contact target sport that is suitable for a wide range of participants. Played indoors on a smooth rectangular court and can be enjoyed as an individual player, in pairs, or in teams of three. Different levels of events take place all year round to cater for a range of goals – whether you want to socialise with friends, develop new skills or compete to the highest level of competition.

Rongoa Maori

A series of practical workshops for rongoa Maori - Traditional Maori Medicine. Workshops are taught in the bush in a supportive and encouraging environment for both Maori and non-Maori participants. All workshops are run over a weekend and are held in the ngahere (bush). The aim is to teach people how to identify the plants used for rongoa, where to find them, and how to collect them and the tikanga (customs) that must be followed.
