Auckland Studio Potters

Auckland
All year round

ASP welcomes new members. The process you go through to join the society will depend upon how much experience you have with clay. If you have previous pottery experience please fill in the online application form on their website and they will be in touch to let you know the next step.

Thursday Evening Beginners Class 6.30 – 9.30pm sells out very quickly so add yourself to the waiting list and keep an eye on release dates. For those who are new to pottery, health and safety protocols require that you gain experience with pottery before you become a member. All members are required to have a reasonable level of pottery studio knowledge. Join the beginner level class if you are new, which if you are successful in enrolling in, can get you to the next level required to become an official ASP member.

The aim is to teach people how to identify the plants used for rongoā, where to find them, and how to collect them and the tikanga (customs) that must be followed.
