Design and craft your blade in this knife making experience.

Workshops start at 8:00am and go all day through till 5:30pm. The day will take you from designing your knife, through to grinding the blade, heat treatment, gluing/profiling your handle, polishing and sharpening the blade ready for use. Morning tea, a farmhouse style lunch and afternoon tea are provided, so just turn up ready to go. This course is suitable for anyone from workshop beginners to those familiar and more experienced around tools. It’s a very popular workshop – bookings essential.

A series of practical workshops for Rongoā Māori - Traditional Māori Medicine. Workshops are taught in the bush in a supportive and encouraging environment for both Māori and non-Māori participants. All workshops are run over a weekend and are held in the ngahere (forest). The aim is to teach people how to identify the plants used for rongoā, where to find them, and how to collect them and the tikanga (customs) that must be followed.
