Wings Over Whales offer a unique way of viewing the local resident sperm whales of Kaikōura

Flying with Wings Over Whales allows you to view the full length of these majestic creatures from nose to tail (approximately 18 metres long) as well as taking in the amazing vistas of the rugged Kaikōura coastline and the towering snow covered peaks of the Kaikōura seaward ranges – the northern most end of the vast Southern Alps. Flights are 30 minutes in duration.

The NZIFF 2023 programming team attends film festivals around the world to bring audiences in Aotearoa the very best of global cinema, with the Auckland programme featuring 129 full-length films and seven short film collections, with films hailing from 39 countries, including Uganda, Senegal, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Estonia, Jordan, Iran, Brazil, and of course Aotearoa. The 2023 programme comprises features, Cannes Film Festival winners, documentaries, shorts, retrospectives, films for kids, animation, and the ‘incredibly strange’. Nine films are celebrating their world premiere and all films are making their New Zealand premiere at NZIFF 2023.
