All year round

Surrounded by Nature

Very popular, gorgeous retreat. The Tree House is a perfect, off-the-grid retreat for nature lovers, where you can listen to birdsong, see the sunrise from the deck and hear the river flowing in the valley. A two minutes walk rewards you with the Watermill Bakery which is open for delicious pizza on Friday evenings. The Tree House is also close to a small productive lavender farm, Lavender Magic, and Mount Holdsworth, where you will be able to access a wide variety of walking tracks. The outdoor bath on the deck allows you to enjoy the magnificent night sky. If you prefer a daytime bath or simply chilling out on the deck, you will appreciate the abundant bird life, especially the fantails, kererū, morepork and tūī. For breakfast, fresh croissants, butter and home made jam is provided, or depending on the season, Bonne Maman jam in individual jars, for the first morning of your stay.

Matariki 2023

Nationwide
Observed 14/07/23

Matariki is a time where people, whānau, and communities gather together to remember the year that has passed, to celebrate the present, and to plan for the next year. It is a time to remember our loved ones who are no longer with us, to feast and celebrate with our relatives and friends, and to look towards the future and the hope of a season full of bounty.
