Create your own special perfume blend to suit your taste or for a really special personalised gift. This is a lot of fun either on your own or with a group. There’s also a range of ready-made things to buy.

Courses also available, one day or one week. Visit the Studio and use the world-leading Medici design system with 24 customised fragrance bases to create your own special perfume blend to suit your taste or for a personalised gift. It can get really busy at weekends so you might want to call ahead.

Cost?

$65 includes one 15 mL bottle of your perfume (eau de toilette), named, labelled and boxed to take away. Courses are also available.

The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora strives to be open and accessible to all and is working to remove barriers for visitors with mobility impairment.

Transport & Parking

There are two mobility access parks in Market Square, with no time limit. Several bus stops are located within easy walking distance of The Arts Centre. The Christchurch Bus Interchange, the city’s main local public bus station, is a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The Christchurch sightseeing tram has two stops right outside The Arts Centre along Worcester Boulevard.

Rongoā Māori

A series of practical workshops for Rongoā Māori - Traditional Māori Medicine. Workshops are taught in the bush in a supportive and encouraging environment for both Māori and non-Māori participants. All workshops are run over a weekend and are held in the ngahere (forest). The aim is to teach people how to identify the plants used for rongoā, where to find them, and how to collect them and the tikanga (customs) that must be followed.
