15 favourite dishes from people of migrant and refugee backgrounds

Check out the deliciously honest conversations between Elina and 15 folks on Spotify or Apple podcasts. These recommendations are truly delicious, and come with a side of identity-exploration. We hope it inspires you to venture out to a local restaurant or reach out to your friends for some home-cooked goodness! The series was made in partnership with Belong Aotearoa and Sport Waitākere, and hosted by Elina Ashimbayeva, co-creator of the community platform Storyo. They have been sharing and celebrating underrepresented identities for over three years now, and have featured social workers, local artists, politicians, sex workers, teachers and more. Food is such a huge part of cultural identity. Please enjoy.
