Auckland Deerstalkers

Auckland
2nd Tues each month

Meets every second Tuesday of the month. Come along for a drink, meet other people, and there’s usually a guest speaker too!

Auckland Deerstalkers host annual competitions in photography, hunting, and target shooting with a varying prizes pool depending on the competition, with the opportunity to take these to a national level. Club nights are monthly on the second Tuesday of the month, except in January where there is no meeting. They try to arrange monthly guest speakers or other hunting and shooting related activities. All applications can be processed online but will require approval from the committee. Part of the process involves introducing yourself to a committee member, the best time to do so is on a club night.

A series of practical workshops for Rongoā Māori - Traditional Māori Medicine. Workshops are taught in the bush in a supportive and encouraging environment for both Māori and non-Māori participants. All workshops are run over a weekend and are held in the ngahere (forest). The aim is to teach people how to identify the plants used for rongoā, where to find them, and how to collect them and the tikanga (customs) that must be followed.
