Spectrum planned break services for children and youth provides stimulating, fun and well-managed home-away-from-home experiences. Targeted at children between 5-16 years, activities are tailored to meet each individual’s capabilities, needs and goals.

The planned breaks provide positive opportunities for children and young people to enjoy relationships with people outside their immediate family circle, helping them to develop independence and to engage in a wide variety of activities. They can include flexible overnight stays, rostered support, focused on providing both a home-away-from-home for the individual and time out for the family/whānau. Activities are tailored to each person’s preferences and goals.
