Wither Hills Farm Park
The Wither Hills Farm Park offers a brilliant range of walking and mountain biking tracks on a 1,100ha working sheep and cattle farm just minutes from Blenheim's CBD.

Matiu/Somes Island Loop Track
A 40 minute loop track around Matiu/Somes Island offers 360 degree views of Wellington harbour - with native wildlife, remnants from the world wars, historic quarantine buildings, and a lighthouse, there is plenty to keep you interested.

Red Rocks Reserve
Put half a day aside for this easy coastal walk to Red Rocks and a fur seal colony on the south side of Wellington. Make sure to take a drink and lunch! Seals can get stressed by people, so keep a reasonable distance at all times. A 7.4km walk, taking 2-3hrs (return) along Wellington’s rugged south coast.

Deliverance Cove Track
Deliverance Cove Track. Two possible routes on this Castlepoint walk offer spectacular views as you climb above the lagoon to the base of Castle Rock. This track is suitable for children.

Fensham Reserve
Fensham Reserve is one of the best places for a bush walk near Carterton. This 48-hectare native bush reserve is just a few minutes' drive from the town's main street, and a popular spot for families and joggers.

The Ngaio Marsh House guided tour operation is wholly run by volunteers, and so we advise that it is most unlikely that prospective visitors will be able to telephone a booking and visit the House on the same day. For this reason pre-booking is essential and will be confirmed by the Chief Guide or one of the duty guides. Your patience with this arrangement is greatly appreciated.

Rangitoto Summit Track
An easy-ish climb through pōhutukawa forest and lava fields gives way to panoramic views of Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf from the summit of this volcanic island. DOC describes it as one of their best short walks.

Mount Manaia Track
A steady climb through regenerating native bush to the summit of Mount Manaia rewards you with breathtaking views of the dramatic entrance to Whangārei-Terenga-Paraoa (Whangārei Harbour). As Mount Manaia is a wāhi tapu (sacred place) for Ngātiwai and other iwi and hapū in Northland – respect the area and keep to the marked tracks.
