Devonport Ethical Christmas Market 2023

Auckland
Sun 3 Dec

Eco friendly, sustainable and ethically sourced gifts

With Christmas becoming increasingly consumeristic, the organisers set themselves the task of finding suppliers of great products who were both ‘doing no harm’ but also ‘actively doing good’. They wanted a chance for locals to easily let their consumer dollars work to increase social justice and help reduce poverty. Also, being able to see ethically produced goods and getting to hear the story behind these businesses is simply inspiring!

Devonport Ethical Christmas Market encourage people to invite their wider friends and family down to enjoy the market and the good that can be done by choosing what we buy. Stallholders include: Above Rubies, Charity Tea, Effective Altruism NZ, Loyal, Marketplace International, Oak & Thistle Ltd, Organic Edible Garden, Tearfund New Zealand, Trade Aid, Make Give Live, Colour Our Story, Lilybee, Yhughes, Azallu Hagar, Ecology.

Matariki 2023

Nationwide
Observed 14/07/23

Matariki is a time where people, whānau, and communities gather together to remember the year that has passed, to celebrate the present, and to plan for the next year. It is a time to remember our loved ones who are no longer with us, to feast and celebrate with our relatives and friends, and to look towards the future and the hope of a season full of bounty.
