The much-loved Aotea Square Ice Rink is back again for 2023 from June 30 to August 6. Located in the heart of the city, the ice rink allows you to experience a winter wonderland surrounded by the lively bustle of city life. This year, the rink features a magical lighting installation so you’ll feel like you’re skating underneath a magical starlit winter night. Afterwards, refuel at the food trucks clustered around Aotea Square. Aotea Square Ice Rink will be open during the week from 10am to 10pm and there’s an extra hour of icy fun on Friday and Saturday nights with the rink open until 11pm. So what are you waiting for, book your tickets now. Concessions available. DJS and food trucks add to the fun.

The NZIFF 2023 programming team attends film festivals around the world to bring audiences in Aotearoa the very best of global cinema, with the Auckland programme featuring 129 full-length films and seven short film collections, with films hailing from 39 countries, including Uganda, Senegal, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Estonia, Jordan, Iran, Brazil, and of course Aotearoa.
